Meet your support

John is a coach, mediator and board-certified clinical counselor whose work centers on relationships: how they function, where they break down, and what it takes to repair and strengthen them.

Before spotlighting focus on relational health, John served as the director of intake at an agency supporting both victims and offenders of trauma and abuse. That experience shaped his approach and expanded his understanding of humanity’s complex nature.

He holds master’s degrees in both Clinical Counseling and Public Management, along with advanced training in mediation, negotiation, and dispute resolution and his advice and insight have been featured in the Washington Post, the Psychotherapy Networker Magazine and on NPR and WBEZ.

John’s work is driven by the singular belief that growth and connection are not possible without difficult conversations, and that the quality of our relationships shape the quality of our lives.
